Hi, I’m Adelma!

I’m a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and I work with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking greater balance, connection, and understanding in their lives. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in your real experiences.

People come to therapy for many reasons, feeling overwhelmed, navigating relationship or parenting challenges, or noticing patterns that no longer serve them. Whatever brings you here, I see therapy as a space to slow down, build awareness, and reconnect with your strengths. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface and support you in creating meaningful, sustainable change.

I work from a systemic and family-centered perspective and have a particular interest in supporting couples, adolescents, women, and parents. I also offer parenting support and executive functioning skill developement, helping individuals and families strengthen emotional regulation, routines, organization, and follow-through in ways that feel realistic and supportive.

My background includes work with couples, at-risk youth, individuals involved in the justice system, and experience in psychiatric settings providing assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from Florida A&M University, a community I remain deeply connected to, and my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

I’m guided by the belief that you can’t pour from an empty cup. In our work together, I strive to create a calm, supportive space where you feel seen, respected, and empowered to care for yourself and your relationships.
