M.S.-Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling-Thomas University
Hi, I’m Reginald!
I am a couples and relationship therapist committed to helping partners move from disconnection and recurring conflict toward clarity, safety, and meaningful emotional connection. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Religious Studies from the University of North Florida and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Thomas University.
My work is shaped by both my Caribbean heritage and my military experience, perspectives that deepen my understanding of loyalty, responsibility, family roles, and the unspoken expectations that often live inside relationships. I am especially attuned to how culture, upbringing, and personal history influence communication styles, emotional expression, and conflict patterns within couples.
In therapy, I help partners slow down and understand what is happening beneath arguments, withdrawal, or distance. Together we identify the interaction cycles that create frustration or hurt and develop new ways of responding that increase understanding, respect, and emotional security. I also work with individuals who want to understand how their relational patterns developed and how to change them.
My approach integrates attachment-informed, cognitive-behavioral, and emotionally focused principles in a way that is both reflective and practical. Insight alone is not enough — I focus on helping clients translate awareness into different choices, different conversations, and different outcomes in their daily lives.
Clients often come to me wanting to:
communicate without escalation or shutdown
rediscover the intimacy that once felt natural
rebuild trust after hurt or misunderstanding
feel emotionally closer and more understood
change repeating relationship patterns
respond rather than react in conflict
I bring a grounded, direct, and steady presence to therapy. Clients often experience our work as honest, supportive, and forward-moving. I believe relationships can change when both partners feel heard and can be there most authentic selves and are willing to engage the process with openness and accountability. The first session focuses on understanding your relationship history, current challenges, and what you want to be different.
Our first session centers on understanding your relationship story, current challenges, and what you want to change. Together, we begin identifying patterns and creating practical steps toward the connection you want to experience. I would be honored to walk alongside you in this work.
